- Fine colored Sand: Available in a variety of colors, this is perfect for detailed and precise designs, such as cloisonné-inspired pieces.
- Base Surface: Metal, Wood, transparency sheets, or acrylic sheets are all versatile options for sand art projects. Anything that is waterproof can be used as a base for sand art.
- Cloisonné Wire: Thin craft wire help define compartments in detailed designs.
- Adhesives: B7000 Glue: Ideal for securing cloisonné wire to the base.
- PH Neutral PVA Glue: For Sand Art a mixture of glue to purified water ratio 2:2 and for Cloisonne a mixture of purified water (4:1 ratio), this ensures a smooth and archival-quality adhesive for sand placement.
- Tapered Eye Droppers or Small Palette Knife: For applying glue mixtures or colored sand with precision.
- Small Tools: Nippers, jewelry circle sizers, small plyers, round and straight edged.
- Tweezers: Essential for adjusting small details and placing thin wire.
- Wood Dowels: Different sizes of wood or square dowels to shape your cloisonné wire.
- Clear Spray Gloss: For sealing and finishing your piece to perfection.
- Mixed Media: Nail art, sequins, small jewelry embellishments, shells, etc…. These items are not necessary but do provide some great texture to your finished pieces.
- Resin: This is a personal choice whether to use or not. I prefer not to use resin because of its known problem of turning yellow with time. But you can if you would like. I have had success with the UV Resin for smaller jewelry pieces.
